The ITBE (Integrity Toys Basic Editions) dolls made their debut in the spring of 2009, this is integrity first affordable doll line for collectors who may not want to spend so much on the other very pricy girls that integrity has to offer! In each collection there is always a group of 5 or 6 girls who are ready to have their picture taken! So for the 2010 integrity line the 2nd waves of the ITBE dolls theme is the Rome edition with 5 new friends but, are the ITBE girls here to stay or in the way!
To be honesty with you; I am not a fan of the ITBE line! This is very funny because I’m always trying to make room for anything new that is coming out! I took a photo of the first line back in February of 2009. At first I said to myself: OMG, I have to have these dolls” but as time went by I found nothing special about the IT girls!
At the W HotelHere are my reasons for not totally falling in love with these dolls!
1. After collecting The Dynamites girls, Fashion Royalty and now the ever so popular Barbie Fashionista; having a fully articulate doll is the in thing now! Yes, I still have some Barbie’s and other dolls that can not move to save my life but, I am looking for replacement bodies for almost all of them!
2. I’m not buying a doll for $25 dollars that does not come with a bag or an extra outfit and a pair of shoes! We all know that Barbie Basics are going for $19.99 but at least they have accessories packs!
3. There is no hype about these girls at all! Sure you may find a few pictures here and there but come on, do you see anybody making threads about them on dolly forums!
To any ITBE fans out there I’m not a totally bitch so please don’t leave mean comments on my blog! I just don’t find anybody making a fuss about these girls! When I went to the doll show in April I happen to see them in person again and did not bring even one girl home! I don’t totally dislike them but the only thing going is their clothes! Maybe one day I’ll give up and just buy one for the hell of it and see where my feelings go from there!
Thank you for this honest review. You love Barbie as well as the other girls out there so I trust you. I keep trying to find good info about these girls but no dice. I keep looking at them going, "We'll, I guess that's a nice dress..."
